Reprieve

It lasted a week.  One whole week. Can I get an AMEN? Whoop! Whoop!

Last week, I felt pretty fair.  Well, at least better than I have in, let’s say, the last year. I must admit that I don’t really know what normal is anymore, but a day that I manage to actually participate in daily living activities is a great day and give me a whole week, I’m ecstatic.

It only lasted a week before I started swelling again. The flank pain is back. The nausea and vomiting and overall queasiness. Oh well. But I got one week. One week with a little bit of energy and stamina where I held down my food for longer than 10 minutes. It was heavenly.

I even slept through the night without assistance.

And I went to church.

I thank God Almighty for my week long reprieve, my vacation from FSGS where I got to be almost normal for a little while.
